Home Phone Number Not Transferred By Virgin

Hi,

Like others on this forum I recently joined Virgin and although requested, my home phone number wasn't transferred over. I've tried using online chat multiple times to no avail. After explaining the issue I get told I'll be transferred to another dept and that's the last message I get.

I've seen quite a few similar threads, some of which Virgin reply to so I'm hoping someone is able to help with this as I'm not sure how to get it resolved.

 I managed to get through to Virgin and Plusnet (my old provider). Plusnet have said they didn't receive the relevant forms from Virgin and as my account with them is now closed the old phone number is lost.......

Hopefully other have better luck than I did!

Hi Lissie

Same thing happened to me on joining Virgin from Sky.

Unfortunaely your old number is doomed.

If you manage to get in touch with Virgin (not easy at the moment) don't believe anything they tell you.

They'll reassure you as many times as you like that all will be well but it's just to get you off the line.
