Home Phone Fibre Transfer Failed

Rich4rd78

Hi,

my home phone was due to switch over to fibre on the 26th September and the line is not working at all. I have checked it’s plugged into the correct phone port (not the Ethernet port) with the virgin supplied adapter.

My home DECT phone is is quite old, maybe 5 years? Is this the issue ? Any advice would be great.

thanks,

Rich

Hi there Rich4rd78,

Thanks for your post and welcome back to the community.

Many apologies for the landline issues, to clarify are you receiving no dial tone whatsoever?

Let us know,

Kain

Hi Kain,

No, nothing at all. The phone is displaying “Please check line cord”

Rich

Ahh okay, thanks for getting back to me.

Is that the only handset you have as well or can you try another one?

Cheers,

Kain

Rich, just out of idle curiosity, have you tried connecting the phone back in to the old wall socket? It is quite possible that the switchover never actually happened.
