I setup internet and phone with virgin that was installed 7 days ago. I called them before it was setup to ensure I would keep my old number. They told me I would need to call back once it is installed to transfer it over.
I called today and am now being told it can't be transferred as it is now inactive. My old provider's services were cancelled 6 days ago and I wasn't told about this requirement when I callef virgin before installation.
I have had this home number for multiple decades and really really do not want to lose it.
