Having spent over 1 hour in 2 separate calls to Virgin Media, I need help .... I am trying to complete a Customer Letter of Authority to port my landline from Virgin to new supplier, on the form I need to put the contact details for Virgin Media
Name :- Virgin Media
Address :- ..........??
Contact email :- .......??
The Virgin Media call centre has tried putting me through to the Virgin Media Porting department , on being transferred by the call centre I get the message that the number is no longer in use and to call customer services on 150 or the 0345 number which just puts me back into the same call centre and same loop ..... can anyone help with the address and email contact details for the form ??
Thanks
. The Virgin Media call centre

Hi @AndyT098765,
Welcome to our Community Forums and thanks for your post.
I am sorry to hear this.
If you are looking to port your landline to another provider, you would need to contact the new supplier who will send the port request to us directly.
Thank you

Hi Ayshia
I HAVE contacted the new supplier ... if they don't have your contact details ( as requested on their Letter of Authority form ) .... how can they contact your porting department to port the number ? )
Who at Virgin Media can let me know me ( & the new supplier ) what is the correct contact address and email for Virgin Media porting department that I need to give to them so they can contact the correct Virgin Media department to port the number ???

Which supplier is it you are moving to? All you would need to do is tell them that your current line is with us and the post code it's supplied to. They would have the relevant details to send the request directly to us Andy.

Please can you at least give me the contact details for Virgin Media's complaints department ( or are you going to refuse to give me those details as well ) ?
I have called the contact I have at the new supplier and he is as stunned & surprised as me at your answer ..... he said he personally doesn't have the contact details for Virgin Media porting department and will contact his companies internal departments to see if they can help.
I have searched on Google & the Virgin Media website, Virgin Media does not publish the contact details of your porting department. My attempts yesterday to call Virgin Media resulted in me being put through to your porting department ... whose number was discontinued and I was informed to call 150 again. The second time I was cut off after over 1 hour waiting to get through.
I will also ask again.... as the new supplier's contact DOES NOT have the contact details for your porting department, can you please enable them to at least be able to contact them & supply the address and email for Virgin Media porting department? ( or at least how the new supplier can contact them ? )

Hey @AndyT098765, thanks for the reply and for reaching out to us.
I am so sorry to hear about the issues regarding the number being ported over to your new provider.
Usually the request is made by the new supplier who contact us (it is usually an internal process within each telecoms provider) and then we are able to release the number, I do find it strange that they have advised you of contacting us for it.
However on our end we can get the number released and assist you in porting this number over to your new supplier.
I will also get this complaint raised for you.
I will send you a private message - watch out for the purple envelope 🙂
Kind regards.
