Getting rid of land-line...?

We never use our house phone. Always just use mobiles. This has got me pondering whether to get rid of our land line.

I don't even know if that's possible...

Anyone on here done that?

Do virgin allow you to have TV and Broadband but no land-line?

Is there a saving to be made if you do this...?

Just looking for info and to find out others experiences of ditching the land line...

Thanks.

And you came to the right place to ponder and get answers

Of course it is. VM sell services individually, but prefer to sell bundles

Loads of people have

Yes they do.

Good news up till now with your questions. Now the not so good news. Adding a phone to your bundle gives you a disproportionately higher discount on the bundle price than adding anything else. So if you dump the phone you may find you pay more or only get a tiny discount.  My experience when I tried was that the price went down by only £5. It wasn't worth the hassle.

However you won't know exactly what the offer will be until you try. If you do have a service removed you will be recontracted for a new minimum period with early termination fees if you lose services or leave VM.

Just looking for info and to find out others experiences of ditching the land line...

Hope that helps.

Thanks.

Happy now you are fully informed?

Re: Getting rid of land-line...?

Thank you! This is exactly the sort of quality response I came here for. 👍🏻😀

Sounds like it may not be worth it... Although it can't hurt to ask Virgin media to quote me a new price. Ta.
