Fibre phone upgrade

I've recently been contacted by you regarding the fibre phone upgrade. Although you provided me with a landline as part of the installation I have never used it nor had a physical phone in the house. All contact is through my mobile. That said, I note that as part of the fibre switch over you are asking us to connect the adaptor to port 1 on the router. I presently use ALL of the hubs ports to connect various devices. Will the present device connected to port 1 be affected by the changeover? Or will it continue to work regardless?

Welcome to our Community Forums! Thank you for your first post and thank you for your query. 

We understand that not all customers will use our landline services, and if you do not use your landline, then there is no need to connect it to your Hub. The Hub port 1 will not be impacted by this switchover. However, if you ever decide to use the landline services, the landline itself will need to be connected to the Hub via an adaptor.

The phone connection on the back of the VM hub is a separate socket (TEL1) which uses a RJ11 connector
