Fibre phone adapter

Have gone to use the new Fibre Phone Adapter but now I’ve read instructions, I realise that the adapter is to be attached to the hub.  Unfortunately my hun is wired in up the stairs in a study while my only landline phone is downstairs.  Do I therefore need to book an engineer to relocate the hub?

Well yes, you will need an engineer to do something. Your options are, a) have the hub moved to where the phone currently is, b) move the phone upstairs into the study, or c) VM should offer to run an extension cable between the study and downstairs so that both the hub and phone can stay where they are.

Now there are drawbacks with each of these, moving the hub may make connectivity problematic in some rooms, ie the study may now have poor WiFi connectivity - impossible to say until and unless it is done. Moving the phone may not be practical from a usability point of view. Finally running extra cables between the two can be unsightly or difficult because of the house layout.
