Fibre Telephone Charges

VC10
Dialled in

I have recently been changed over to BB telephone, so why am I still being charged phone line rental when the phone line has been disconnected and my phone is going through the existing BB 'wiring'? I am sure there will be some good explanation but in simple turns the line I was renting has been disconnected and I am using a pre-existing BB line that must be costed into my BB charges. I have had something taken away but am still being charged for it.

Hi VC10,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, although our phoneline are now provided Via our Routers and not Via the old wall socket, the only change is how we provide it, the service is still being provided, the price for phone will apply as long as you have this on your account.

Regards

Paul.

The rental is to provide you with a phone number and the equipment to make it work. The only thing that has changed is how the signal is sent to your phone, all the same equipment is used at the VM ‘exchange’. ‘Phone Line’ has always referred to all the equipment used NOT just the physical pair of wires.
