I received letter from Vergin re change over to Fibre optic and received a cable to connect to the hub on top phone terminal, connected and removed the phone cable from the wall and connected to the hub connection as to the instructions, as soon I connect the landline cable to the hub phone cable received, the phone does not work, getting message on phone display, please check line cord? Can anyone help please

Usually the adapter is sent out in advance of the switchover date.
What date were you given for the actual switchover?
If you plug a phone back into the original telephone wall socket, is that still working?

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Sorry for the confusion. From the system check you're not yet migrated over.
Please pop the cabling back as it was and connect the phone the usual (pre-migration way).

The Landline works fine when connected to the wall socket. The change over date was on 01 Nov 22.
However, have requested visit by the engineer.
