I received an adaptor today and it is telling me to use it on my switchover day, but I don't know when that is.

Will my landline stop working if I don't install it.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Mcsas93, welcome to the community! Thank you for posting to let us know about your concerns regarding the landline switchover.

The switchover usually happens remotely on a specific date once you have received your adapter, unless you need additional support getting it set up, or any of your equipment re-located as a result of the change. You should have received a notification to let you know which date this is via text or email.

Once the switchover happens your landline handset will need to be connected via your Hub using the adapter provided in order to work.

You can read more information about the switchover here on community 👉 Everything You Need To Know - Virgin Media Community - 4757332, via our website 👉 Landline Switchover | Virgin Media Help and here in a leaflet 👉 Switchover_Migration_Leaflet.pdf (virginmedia.com)

I will to send you a PM to confirm a few account details so I can check and confirm your switchover date. You can find the PM in the top right corner of the page in your Inbox. Let me know if there is anything else regarding the switchover you have concerns about and I will do my best to put your mind at ease!

All the best.
