Failed number port

Hello my number port failed as my previous provider disconnected early.

This is their response

Regarding your telephone number, we would have released the NRC onto the network which would have allowed the subsequent provider the opportunity to retain your telephone number, we do not own the telephone number and this as a general rule will be available for 30 days after cancelling.

However I have been advised to inform you to advise the provider to escalate their attempt to retain your telephone number as this should have been available to them as the NRC would have been generated when the line was cancelled.

I just want my number back!
