FWD Voicemail on mobile

We have moved to Virgin and obviously have received the default voicemail option.

If we request that this VM is cancelled, can we divert to a mobile? I've read that *77 diverts after 6 rings, this would be ideal, if correct.

Is it possible you can confirm if you're asking for calls to go to a mobile or the voicemail?
