My Mum's landline has not been working for over a week. She has a landline and Virgin TV, HELP!!

Sorry to hear of the issues with the landline phone.

Can you please advise me if there's a dial tone on the phone at all?

Does the handset connect to the phone line, or is this provided to her via the router?

Has an alternative handset been used to rule out the prospect of a faulty handset?

There is NO dial tone

The handset does connect to the phone line

Yes, an alternative has been tried.

I am very keen to get this sorted ASAP, My Mum is 84 years old and lives alone.
