Extend rings before answer phone, please

Could you please extend the length of time it takes before my landline goes to answer phone?

At the moment it doesn't give me enough time. It would be better if it was about 1.5x to 2x what it currently is, if possible.

They did tell me to do something in order to change it by myself, but when I tried it didn't work. So yes I would still like some help. ^^
