I have just received a new landline number (less than 24 hours) & I’ve already had a random text message sent to my landline asking me to sign a petition. I thought I was ex-directory is it possible to check.

Sorry for any confusion here, for confirmation, was the new landline number previously owned by yourself? If so was it advised that it was registered to ex-directory?

As far as I knew my previous number was ex-directory
