As 2 of my 3 analogue phones are no longer working I am thinking of buying digital phones now before the switch over in 2025.
my questions are,
1. I have a V3 router ,with a phone port so can I assume that I can plug in a digital phone to this port to work? Or are adaptors / cables required?
2. I would retain my landline telephone number?
3. If I understand correctly, calls are made via the router are VOIP , are they free of charge.
Thank you.

Hi Davy1702,
Thanks for using the forums to get this question about your landline answered.
We would be unable to give any info about your 3rd party router (V3 Router) as it's not our own equipment.
However, you would be retaining your current landline number. VOIP calls would still be chargeable depending on what numbers you call.
Thanks,

Hello Megan,
sorry I mistook the correct name for the hub, it is a Virgin hub 3.0, and just to confirm, I am a virgin customer.
most of my calls are to “normal”, numbers not premium rate.
my current package is for , weekend, free calls. Would this change?
thanks

Hi Davy1702,
Thanks for coming back to me, that makes much more sense now! Lol thanks for pointing that out for me 🙂
I can confirm your package wouldn't change, so any numbers within your landline tariff would be free, apart from the premium rate numbers you mentioned.
I hope this helps!
Thanks,
