Data Usage

Hi wonder if anyone can help me please. I get 3 GB per month it was a special offer that I got. Today I got a warning to say I had used 2GB of data from 1 - 28 February. So therefore I have one left. How can they say the usage is for the whole of February and its only the 16 February, I have phoned and told I need to pay extra even though I still have 1GB remaining?

Some times when I am at home where I have BT WIFI my virgin mob account shows I am using that (MOBILE DATA) at the same time as BT how comes?

Would be grateful for answers as I have never ever had this warning before.

Thanks for getting in touch with our community forum team. 


I'm sorry that you have some concerns about your mobile data usage and I have sent you a private message so I can take a closer look at your account. 

Your phone wouldn't be able to use your mobile data whilst being connected to your BT WiFi. It may be that your device has lost connection to your WiFi and has been using your mobile data instead. 

Next time you connect your phone to your WiFi please check the coverage around your house to make sure the signal hasn't been dropping off.
