Crackling Landline - Unable to receive calls - Engineer visit needed

Hi. I have a problem with a landline that will receive incoming calls and cut out immediately, and cannot make outgoing calls at all. The line is extremely crackly. I've tried two different Gigaset phones, but it appears to be a problem with the landline itself, not the phones.

It seems that somebody has tampered with the outside Virgin Media box which is broken.

Please could you advise what the number is to get an engineer as we cannot ring from the landline.
