Crackle on line

Hi

my Landline crackles badly when making or receiving calls, progressively getting worse in past few weeks 

I’ve checked the box, cables & connections indoors and all appear sound. I finally purchased a new handset but alas no change. £30 spent for no reason. 😞 

can anyone offer help, suggestion what to do next

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.
Sorry to hear you are having an issue with crackly landline.

Looking at this now, it will need an engineers visit to check the external connections. 
I'd like to take a look into getting this arranged for you.
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security. 
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great.
