Connecting landline to new hub

I've just changed my package, recieved Hub 5 and the internet is up and running.  I've plugged the landline in to the back of the hub, just like it was in the old one, and the phone is telling me "please check line cord".  I've just spent ages on the phone to Virgin sorting out an issue with the Hub (details for new hub not registered on their system before sending it out) and I really don't want to have to ring again.

Anybody got any ideas to get my landline up and running please?

Firstly welcome to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your landline connection. Can you confirm for me that the landline is plugged into the Tel 1 socket of the hub, and that the wire is securely in both ends.

Can you also confirm for me if the phone has a dial tone or not?

Hi there - it seems to have sorted itself out on its own, but thanks for the reply.

Now to sort out the other issues, this upgrade has been problematic to say the least 🙂
