We have this message on our handsets, and same as previous posters, no dial tone or ability to receive calls.

Checked connections etc, too.  Not sure of next steps.

Can you possibly try disconnecting all handsets and other equipment from the extensions on the phone line and see if you can gain a dial tone on the handset connected to the master socket?
