Changing home phone number

Hi

Is it possible for me to change my home phone number to what it was previously at my address. My brother lived at this address and had virgin media, but since he moved out I have moved in but I want to keep that number. I had a fault in my home phone and just bought a new one so couldn't do this sooner.

Thank you

Hi Miru

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

What happened to the phone number that was on your Brother's account please?

Kind regards,

Re: Changing home phone number

Hi

As he moved out he cancelled his contract so I can start a new one on the property, so the new contract I have now has a new phone number.

Thank you

Miru

Re: Changing home phone number

Hello Miru

We can have a look at this for you

It would involve passing security with yourself by a private message

However there is not a 100% guarantee we can get this number as any disconnected numbers get removed for a while so that they are not reissued again to new customers

I have sent a Private Message mow for you

Re: Changing home phone number

Hello Miru

Thanks for passing security

Sadly the number you have requested is not able to be added to your account

Once an account is disconnected, it is then put way in a holding pool for X amount of months

Then it will be ready to be reassigned to a new customer

Sorry if that is not the answer you were looking for

We could have completed a transfer of responsibility with you and your brother

But again that is to late be done now
