Cannot make or receive calls on BT4600 for last 6 days

Since Mon 18th July have been unable to make or receive any calls. Checked service in area and states no problems. All systems with phone seem ok eg handset to handset calls work ok but family have been worried they cannot make contact on our landline

We are octogenarians with health issues and think a visit from Virgin Media is needed urgently. If this costs because issue is not with landline but with phone system so mott it be.

 

There have been a lot of 'no landline' topics on here recently (lots mention power cuts causing failures).

Have you tried this link

or the 'Service Status' link when you are logged into 'My Virgin Media', which should allow you the option to run tests on your connection.

If those are not useful in identifying a fault, can you borrow a phone (from a friend, family, neighbour) to double check and confirm the line is dead?
