Cannot be heard when calling French phone numbers

When placing calls to French landline numbers, the recipient of the call is unable to hear us, although we can hear them fine. The problem is apparent when placing calls to from both a fixed line (via the Hub rather than a dedicated cable) and mobile devices, however we can work around the issue using a local access number to place the call, which would rule out issues at both ends

The current issue appears to have started yesterday afternoon and seems to be a repeat of the company wide issue that was reported and resolved a couple of weeks ago

Hi noblem, thanks for creating your own thread, Can you confirm if it is only one number you are having issues with or is it multiple French numbers? Are they also able to call other UK numbers apart from your own? Chris

It's difficult to say as we've only call the one number in France on a regular basis and that's the one we're having issues with

The problem only occurs when placing calls to the French number from both landline and mobile (both are virgin), we don't have any issues if they call us nor do the have any issues with anyone else calling them, although we're their only UK contact

We're currently using an access number to work around the issue, i.e. we initially call a UK number and use it to place the call to the French number. We don't have any problems when making the calls in this fashion, presumably because the international leg of the call is routed differently

Hi

We call various landline numbers in different parts of France and have the same problem with all of them who use different service providers in France.
