I cannot ring out on my landline, but can receive calls. My phone is plugged into the hub and has been since it was installed in October 2021. I get dial tone, dial the number then silence for a few seconds then I can hear myself.
I have tried another phone in the hub, that didn't work. I have reset the hub and also rebooted, that didn't work either.
I cannot plug the phone directly into the wall socket as I don't have one, just a white box with the broadband cable plugged into the single socket.
Reading through the threads it seems lots of people are having the same issue.
I would be grateful for some help please as I have an elderly infirm parent who I need to stay in touch with. Thank you.

Hi Ladyvixen 👋 welcome to the community! Thank you for posting!
So sorry to hear about this issue with your landline.
It does look as though there is a known outage affecting the landline service at the moment (an intermittent dial tone, when there is no pending voicemail.) This is due to be resolved on 15.11.23 by 6pm.
Just so we can ensure we are offering the best help if possible, can you let us know if you are able to receive calls? Or are the issues just happening when making outbound calls?
We do hope that the issue is resolved following the end of the outage but please do keep us updated so we can offer further support if needed!
Wishing you all the best. 🌞

Hi, it's only outgoing calls. I can receive calls from other landlines and mobiles. Thanks.

Hi Ladyvixen,
Thanks for coming back to us on this one.
Checking things this morning, it looks as though any fault has been resolved. Can you check the landline this morning and let us know how things are.
If you're still having an issue then we'll look to get an engineer out to resolve things.
Many thanks,
