Can ring out but people can't call in.

VM tests say phone engaged which it isn't.  Tried calling 150 but wait too long.  Please help.

Welcome to VM Community.

was wondering if you are a new customer?

As when u first get a phone line installed you won't be able to get any incoming call for up to 24hr after that u should be able to receive incoming calls.

Sorry to hear there are some issues with the line again,

 

Can you confirm if it's the same engaged dial tone? 

 

Have you tested another handset?

Hi Alex, the problem continues today. When we call the number from our mobiles there is no sound whatsoever, it's the VM online test that says it's engaged. Unfortunately we don't have another handset to try.

Have run VM online tests again but with phone disconnected and they still say the line is engaged. Sadly call centres now closed so can't speak to anyone to progress a fix.

I've gone ahead and scheduled the soonest visit from an engineer. You will find confirmation and can reschedule via your online account (virg.in/myVM) - if there are cancellations we may be able to get there sooner.
