CALL DIVERT NOT WORKING

Can anybody help! This issue is crippling my business as my landline is my business line and the call divert has not been working for almost 3 weeks!

I've spoken to Virgin about 8 times and on every occasion got nowhere. They tell me they are having problems connecting to EE mobile numbers.

Initially I was told it was a issue that EE were having and that it was not a fault with Virgin but after speaking to my mobile provider they insisted the fault laid with Virgin. Now Virgin are saying they have the problem and are trying to sort it.

I obviously can't continue like this as I'm missing 30 plus calls a day!

Is anybody else experiencing this issue and does anybody know any solutions?

Has this now been resolved following further investigation by our dedicated teams? If not, we may need to clear account security via private message to discuss this further.

Hi Rachael, sadly no this has still not been resolved.

Any longer and I will have to look for another supplier.

I can see that we have removed the feature from the line and re-added it back on for you; we have also staged the issue to our 2nd line team to investigate in the meantime. 

 

Please can I ask what happens when you try and set the Call Divert up?

 

After checking your region, you should pick up the handset and dial *70 (wait for dial tone) Input diverted number including dialling code.

 

Do you have a tone phone? (When you press a number on the keypad, it should make a "tone" noise rather than a pulsing).

Hi Katie, yes I do have a tone phone but after putting in *70 nothing happens. I then add my mobile number and I have to press the call button to get the dial tone and after a couple of seconds it starts to make the noise that it's calling that number. After that two beeps followed by nothing.

I've had this feature for years with no problems and I've sometimes diverted it to a different number when I go on holiday with no issues.

Thanks for popping back - when did the issue start @BARRSYBOY

 

I assume from what you are saying that you are using a cordless handset? Have you tried another handset at all to see if that helps? 

 

Can you try pressing "call" before you do *70 and see what happens please?

We have tried another phone and I think we've tried pressing 'call' first.

I'm out at the moment but I will try it on my return.
