Billed for calls I have not made

Joining in

My land line is not working correctly, either completely dead or very fuzzy, and I can not report the fault via 150 because of this.  Apparently there are no know problems in my area with the phone system. While checking the Virgin site for another way of reporting the fault I checked my up and coming bill and found I was being charged for calls I had not made (one local call a day at 38 pence each, different number each day). Can anyone explain this please and tell me how to report it please. Could be a coincidence but my mobile plan was "upgraded" to O2 recently (the 150 Virgin number is no longer available via O2 hence the sarcastic "upgraded" comment). Thanks in advance.
