Are our phones still connecting via BT

Will Virgin still be renting lines from BT as usually our home phones go through BT lines so will our bills go down as no line rental needed ?

Re: Are our phones still connecting via BT

Hi @peasuncarrots

Thanks for posting on our community forum!

Thank you for the question, we only use Virgin Media cabling to provide services and this has been the case for a long while now 🙂

Virgin don't rent any lines from BT. Their network was built by the many cable companies that originally won the area franchises in the 1990s long before BT lines & exchanges were opened up to competition. Your Line Rental maintains Virgin's infrastructure. Even when your phone moves to a Hub based line it will still be using the majority of the existing headend telephone infrastructure.

VM BB TV Landline. Vonage 2nd line. Freeview/Freesat HD, ASDA/Tesco PAYG Mobile. Customer since 1993
