Adapter

I was sent the adapter like everyone else but my landline phone no longer works. I’ve tried it different ways. I had a single phone socket and an extension cable to my actual phone. But now nothing works.

Re: Adapter

Connect to your Hub at http://192.168.0.1  and login with the Hub's password ( which is printed on the label on the bottom )

The Hub's status page will show if the Hub has Telephone Enabled or Disabled.

Re: Adapter

Hi Boxer971,

Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 🙂

As Client62 has advised, if you've received the adapter have you connected the line to the hub?

Re: Adapter

You mention a hub is that the phone base you’re talking about or a separate unit, as all I have is a phone socket on the wall a cable from that to my phone base. I had to get a new cable as the adapter wasn’t compatible with the cable I had.

Re: Adapter

You should have a VM Hub that looks like one of these, on this page here https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/exsting-customer-deals/hub

If not, VM need to book you a tech to set it up for you, free of charge.

"I had to get a new cable as the adapter wasn’t compatible with the cable I had."

When you changed the wiring to the phone was the phone working at that point ?

If yes, if you were to re-connect the phone to the wall socket with its original cable will it work again ?
