I've just renewed my contract with VM but to get the best deal, I opted to remove the phone line so I now only have broadband. I never used my landline before (literally never made a call on it, got plenty of spam though somehow!), but I liked having there as an emergency simply for having the ability to call 999 should my mobile be not available (I don't have it on at night anyway).
My question is, when my phone line signal is cut to my modem, is it still possible to make a 999 call if the superhub is still working for broadband or is the phone line completely dead? If it is dead, are there any other alternative options for having the ability to make calls to the emergency services?
