I would like to change my landline to work of my Hub 3.
After 40 minutes, i managed to get through to the technical department. They informed me they cant do it remotely and require to send an engineer to do a docsis migration and charge me for the call out.
From what I read on forums is that it all can be done remotely. Can anyone help?
Actually VM won't do this at all. If you live in one of the areas which they are switching to the new phone system they will do it automatically after sending you a letter. If you don't they won't migrate you at all. It is not something you can request. If you are new customer you get the new system.
The phone system is not true VOIP. As I understand it (from one of the other expert VIPs) all that the new system does is replace the twisted pair to the cabinet with a radio frequency signal over the co-ax used for broadband and TV. The migration to DOCSIS3.1 is utterly irrelevant.
