lag spikes?

quite limited on knowledge so bare with me please

 

gamed for years, had few problems now and then with speed but for past few years its been completely fine. I think im on 100mb package and normally get around 40meg download with 8 upload or something along those lines.

 

Past few days ive had lag spikes on playstation where ive been connected to games/party chats and its disconnected me.

Whilst in games, its froze for 10/30 seconds then resumed. Looks to me like a lag spike. When ive done a quick speed test right after, my download shoots down to 14meg (which is better than what others have) and upload to about 2meg, again, what is quite normal for people....

ive just set up a broadband monitor speed check on thinkbroadband so hopefully that brings upsome results tomorrow. I'm aware they have peak time and they can limit your speeds but this is 10pm and 11pm still doing it.

 

Are they any packages for gaming which are available?

Im currently getting tv broadband internet?

 

my NAT type has for a while been moderate or strict now too.
