Could you access your router using http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.100.1 for modem mode . You shouldn't need log in, select the 'Check Router Status' option and paste your 'Downstream', 'Upstream', and 'Network Log' tabs? Please copy/paste this data as text, split between multiple posts (Sometimes you have to click 'Post' twice due to an error message).
Could you please create a BQM (Broadband Quality Monitor) here, and post the live link?
Oh wow okay that's super interesting, at least there is something underlying causing the problem. Would this sort of problem only be fixable via an engineer or can it be done at home doing some tinkering?
<snip> Ports are open, I did a search on which ones to do, but if there are more please let me know.
Firewall off, DMZ enabled. UPNP enabled.
Not sure what else to do, I had BT before and NEVER had any issues. What's going on? Am I missing something?
I believe the Firewall needs to be on as it does the Port Forwarding.?
As for BT, your XBox most likely was using IPv6 and didn't required forwarding. VM do not use IPv6 in the UK.
Hey Adduxi. I've read otherwise that having the firewall on causes issues and can fix open nat. I think my problem is more than that, to do with the upstream channels being the wrong number. I need to wait on the reply from carl_pearce
