I have an issue where I'd be playing games with a friend online with very smooth game no lag but after anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours I'd fully disconnect and freeze on the game. I've done all the things suggested on Google such as resetting router fully turning it off and on changed suggested settings on the virgin media WiFi configuration page and windows 10 settings but all have made the WiFi quicker but also still disconnect as frequent as before. I've had a technician come and he said that he replaced the splitter from when we used to have virgin broadband. But after an hour of playing I had frequent disconnections lasting around 5 to 10 minutes. Any advice or help is appreciated.
+I'm pretty sure the router overheats badly even when using a desk fan to cool my room and router.

Morning @LukeHenry
Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.
I am sorry to hear of the WiFi issues - is the hub turned off at present as I am unable to do tests on it.
Regarding the overheat - is this 100% or an assumption please? As we would need to get a tech out if so.
Kind regards,

the problem was gone for a couple months therefore havent thought to have checked for a response here. however it has risen again and happens less frequently (every 3 maybe 4 hours) which is unfortunate but nowhere near as bad. i wasnt sure whether it was overheating as it was my first thought when it kept crashing. however im not sure if theres a power issue.. I can post upstream downstream data here if necessary.

Hello LukeHenry
We're sorry to hear of the hub issues experienced and drops in connection, we appreciate you raising this via the forums and welcome to the community.
We've tried to check the equipment and connection our side but have been advised the hub isn't online, can you check it is turned on and has power? Can you also check here for any known area issues as they may also explain this.
Please let us know.
