WiFi constantly up and down

My WiFi has had problems being up and down for weeks now. I am switching the box on and off daily but still like right now I am trying to watch a programme and every 30 seconds or so the WiFi drops.  The circle of doom.

Have had engineers ut a while ago, purchased twoTP link extenders and still it drops in and out.  I wish I could show Branson how bad the service is.

had also to up the Data on my kids phones as they can’t use the WiFi anymore.

it seems that the service has gone down in the last 6 months and maybe the signal strength is very low..

Even now put BBC iPlayer on standard def and still it stops constantly.

did the swapping of channels, in and off, moved the router, same awful service.

will have to change this out next week, it’s doing my head in!!

Re: WiFi constantly up and down

Branson won't be interested. Virgin Media is nothing to do with him.

Have you any wired devices to check the broadband connection?

Re: WiFi constantly up and down

Hi Mick2291,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry that you're having some issues with your WiFi at the moment. It sounds like we need to take a look at things for you.

I've had a look at the backend of your services and I can see that there is an issue affecting multiple customers in your area. The fault could be causing connectivity and performance issues at the moment.

Our support teams are aware of this and looking to get it resolved as soon as possible.

As jpeg1 has advised, you can have a look at our WiFi wins here to see about improving the connection in your home.

Thanks

Melissa
