Afternoon.

I recently joined Virgin and have had flawless internet via my PS5 (Ethernet CAT6a), Nintendo Switch (wireless), Virgins TV box (little square thing), but my laptop (wireless 500MB capability aware) is downloading on steam at 900KB/s-1MB/s (Battle.net, and steam confirmed these speeds)

I've restarted the router/modem and found no improvement. Any ideas?

Seems changing the hardware to 5GHz only (was showing as a 5GHz wifi band) has fixed the issue. Now downloading at 48MB/s

Do you mean 48MB/s ?

Or it is really 48Mb/s which is only 4% utilisation of the Gig 1 service.
