Very High Latency on Xbox One - Wired and Wireless

For the last two weeks I've been experiencing very high latency on my Xbox One.

I have it tried in on both wireless and wireless 5g, and wired. Download speed has been great

350mb for download, and 30mb upload. However my latency has been stuck around the 150ms.

3 other PC's and a laptop are not experiencing the same problems.

Here's my latest test result.

Re: Very High Latency on Xbox One - Wired and Wireless

Your HUB stats look fine.

Considering it's only one device I can't imagine it's anything related to your VM connection.

According to this site anything under 200ms is considered 'good':

Re: Very High Latency on Xbox One - Wired and Wireless

Thanks for your response.

However 200ms latency or even the 150ms latency I'm experience makes using the xbox for gaming completely unusable

Re: Very High Latency on Xbox One - Wired and Wireless

Your downstream power levels are quite high (-6 to +10 is actually in spec), however there aren't many errors, so not sure if any adjustments are required.

Here's mine for comparison:

Re: Very High Latency on Xbox One - Wired and Wireless

The Xbox Live test latency reading is based on that test and whatever server(s) Microsoft use for the Xbox One to do that test.

You'll find different games will have different latency/ping experiences depending on their infrastructure, such as whether it's a P2P service like Destiny multiplayer, or dedicated servers like Battlefield V.

Re: Very High Latency on Xbox One - Wired and Wireless

Don't know if it's relevent but I had the same issue on Xbox one after an upgrade of my broadband package, latency went from ~30ms to 150-155ms. I ended up shutting down the Xbox completely ( as in switched the plug off ) and that seemed to solve it for me! Hope you get it solved!

Re: Very High Latency on Xbox One - Wired and Wireless

Thanks for the tip, I've also been told to try selecting the alternate mac address

I've just done this and latency has dropped to 29ms
