For the past month I have been experiencing extreme latency issues, to the point it is unplayable. I initially put this down to everyone been at home. But I have noticed none of my gaming friends have this issue with Virgin, in addition to this I do believe that I am the only person on my street who has signed up to the cable service so can’t be over subscriptions.
My connection was perfect when I initially signed up after switching from Talk Talk, but it has come to the point that I can’t play at all. This is the entire reason I signed up to the service.
I pay for the 350 service but never achieve above 200 now. I’m connected by a Cat 8 Ethernet cable and all connections seem tight and secure. I have this issue even when no other devices are connected, and this is irrelevant of the time of day. I have reset, rebooted my router. Port forwarding, DMZ etc but nothing makes a difference.
I have checked a few things from here and the upstream signal levels are out of sync
