Over the past week or so for no reason I am unable to stream with a good connection. I am constantly receiving dropped frames almost from the start. Was working fine for months.
The bit rate fluctuates from as low as 200 up to 7000 every few minutes causing my stream to freeze.
My PC is perfectly capable of streaming (AMD 3900x and RTX 2070 Super) and is all up to date along with BIOS, etc.
Yes, i have rebooted the router. Yes I have reset it.
My upload and download speeds are fine and there are no issues in my area so the problem must be with the line itself.
I have been with virgin media for 10 years plus but seriously considering going with BT broadband.
Cancelled contract with Virgin Media. Signed up elsewhere. Enough is enough.
I've been having the same problem.
I went from being able to stream at 6000kbps to now struggling with 1500kbps.
It's ridiculous because speedtest shows uploads at 12mbit but in the real world, I can't even get a quarter of that.
It's not just Twitch either, Speedtest no longer is representative of real world speed as I've been uploading to WeTransfer at 2000kbit whereas Speedtest on any UK server shows over 12000kbit.
What is going on.
I switched to BT and not had a problem since. Streaming at 8000 bitrate with no loss or dropped frames.
