Let me start with there is nothing wrong with my internet connection. Connection remains up throughout the issues. The problem is with very specific games that I have issues with, at specific points.
I cannot connect to any Squad server. Logs below show during the conneciton process after clicking connect on the server [2020.11.16-14.02.39:488]LogSquad: USQGameState: Server Tick Rate: 160.84 [2020.11.16-14.02.42:012]LogNet: UNetConnection::Close: [UNetConnection] RemoteAddr: 90140320616162314:7787, Name: SteamNetConnection_2147480579, Driver: PendingNetDriver SteamNetDriver_2147480580, IsServer: NO, PC: NULL, Owner: NULL, UniqueId: INVALID, Channels: 2, Time: 2020.11.16-14.02.42 [2020.11.16-14.02.42:012]LogNet: UChannel::Close: Sending CloseBunch. Then, the really really weird bit, which makes me think this is Virgin traffic management affecting this... is, if my wife is playing World of Warcraft, and specificlaly if she is playing PvP in an instanced battleground, she gets disconnected as soon as I press "Connect" on Squad.
I've never seen anything like this in my life, but it is 100% network related.
Anecdotally, Virgin at various times have screwed around with WoW traffic, one period some years back we all coudlnt play. Recently in the last year we used to get kicked off wow all the time. especially trying to connect TWO people to wow at one time. I think this is no surprise that during Covid19 UK lockdown, again we have aggressive traffic management breaking our recreation activities... which, is the reason I pay so much money for internet.
What is Virgin doing here? And how can I even log a ticket for this fault?
Thanks for posting, and sorry to see you're having some issues when gaming.
I've been able to locate your account using your forum details, I've arranged to send you a new hub 3, this'll be with you within 3-5 days, this should help with the both of you gaming at the same time.
If possible I'd advise to use an Ethernet connection 🙂
Let me know how you get on when the new hub is up and runnung.
