Terrible Latency on All Games

Awful Latency to any European Servers when based in the IP2 region of Ipswich. Often in Team Speak with 150 +- 60 ping to a UK Server. Constant Ping Issues of 100+ in every game I play (R6 Siege, EFT, CS:GO, COD anything.)

Here are screenshots of latency tests to a London Server, the first when using a VPN to a London Server, the second is without a VPN.

Both Tests show times where the latency spikes to 200+. Any potential fixes?

I am in Essex, and not having any latecy issues.

Is the SH3 in Router mode or Modem Mode ??

Wired or Wifi ??

If Wifi 2.4GHz or 5GHz range ??

Thanks for your reply. 

I haven’t changed any of the setting since I’ve got the SH3 so I presume it’s in router mode. I have it wired into my computer through and Virgin Media extender. I had no latency problems when playing at 3 AM this morning and it starts to stop being a problem at 10 PM. I’m guessing this is where VM are struggling with the extra load? But this has been happening since January so I didn’t think it could be that.

I find that the SH3 when in router mode, just does not have the computing Power to do all.

Run a Puma 6 Test, just do a seach on a well known search enginne starting with G. If you get to much red. Thats the issue.

The Puma 6 is the Chipset inside the SH3, and its useless, there has been loads of firmware fixes over the last few years.

Other option to to buy your own router, and put the SH3 into modem mode.

Way too much red.

Maybe you have an old Firmware, please login to the SH3 and post the Firmware you have.

After taking a look at the expense of the gaming routers its not really feasible to be spending £200+ on a router especially if that doesnt fix the issue. Perhaps Virgin Media would send out another router and that may fix the issue.

Log in to the SH3, and look for the Firmware version. You may have an old one, that needs updating.

And when I try to login into my router it says someone else is logged into my router (no one in my family has a clue about anything technological so its not possible).
