RandomDissconnects

In the past year or 2 on my PC and Xbox which I use for gaming have been having the most random but frequent disconnects. We have restarted the router, we've contacted many of times with whoever's come to check saying it's fine or they say they fix something else that's not the issue. Anyone know any solutions or where to start?

Re: RandomDissconnects

Sorry, I don't have a solution but I have the exact same issue. Random disconnect..Router lights flashing green, then red, then green. We pay £123 per month for this, it's less than mediocre.

Re: RandomDissconnects

Hi Cian2525,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry you're having problems with disconnections on your gaming consoles and I'm sorry this hasn't been resolved for you.

I've had a look at the backend of your services and I'm not able to see any issues that would be causing this.

Do you notice disconnections on any of the other devices in the property?

Are the consoles wired or wireless?

Let us know and we can help further.

Thanks

Melissa

Re: RandomDissconnects

Hi Cian2525,

Can you tell me which room the devices are in, in relation to the hub?

Have you experienced any issues with the broadband connection via an Ethernet connection or has this been restricted to Wi-Fi?

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

Re: RandomDissconnects

At the moment the devices have been on the highest floor which is a converted loft and the hub on the bottom floor. Although an xbox has been a floor down with an ethernet connection. I dont know if a phone is different but usually when I'm in the highest room my phone is fine.

Re: RandomDissconnects

Thanks for coming back to me

Do you have the Virgin Media Connect Application on your phone?

It may be worth running a scan on the top floor to see if a booster may be required, how long has this issue been effecting you?

Kindest regards,
