Powernet Booster Blocks PS4 Connection to VM Wifi network

Hello

First Post.

I joined VM three days ago but my D/L and U/L speeds were no better then my previous Openreach provider and very poor in loft (with Hub on ground floor).

VM sent powerline Booster but when the booster is placed in the loft it prevents the PS4 there connecting to the internet being unable even to locate the SSID WIFI or wired).

Please help else its all going back

Re: Powernet Booster Blocks PS4 Connection to VM Wifi network

Are any other devices able to connect to the Internet via the booster?

Re: Powernet Booster Blocks PS4 Connection to VM Wifi network

Forgive my ignorance but I as part of the process was renaming the power line booster to the same name as my WiFi, I don't know. I am only offered the one VM Internet connection and I assumed this was the boosted one.

EDIT that is on WiFi. I will try an ethernet laptop now

The WiFi may be separate issue, it is important to establish if the network connection via the booster is working first, so the laptop test via Ethernet will help to establish if it is or not and rule in or out a PS4 issue.

Re: Powernet Booster Blocks PS4 Connection to VM Wifi network

Hi.

The laptop ethernet worked in same room as hub and then when tested in loft. I then switched to PS4 and it worked. Not sure what if anything was different. Thank you for your suggestions, without them I may not have had the patience to keep testing
