I recently had Virgin installed after moving house and whenever I'm playing games I have a steady ping of around 40ms but every 30 seconds or so it spikes up to 250ms+ and then goes back down making it impossible to play properly.
I have run tests on ping websites and they show the same, level for a while, big spike and back to level again. I have also run puma 6 tests and get red boxes all over the place.
I never had these problems at my old property (in a different area). Is it worth trying my old router or is this more of a network issue?
I am on my cooling off period until Thursday so if it isn't fixed by then will be looking to cancel. Will try and post stats below.
There's an easy spot - upstream power levels are too low, and that's harming the reliability of your connection. I'll flag for forum staff to comment, chances are it'll need a technician visit and they can arrange that if needed.
