Packet loss since Hub 3

Hello,

Recently changed our contract with Virgin Media, as a result we now use a Hub 3, we previously had a Super Hub 2. Since the change I've noticed more packet loss warnings during games and disconnections while working from home, this occurs on both wired and wireless connections, whereas this issue never happened with the previous router. I have split the 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels and connected the compatible devices to the 5GHz option instead. We have the same number of devices connected to the router as before.

Hoping for some advice regarding this, please let me know if you need any more information.

Thank you in advance

Re: Packet loss since Hub 3

Hi,

BQM looks ok appart from the little spikes. It least it doesnt look like overutilization in your area.

Can you login to the router then copy and paste the info from each tab onto here?

That way we can see if its a problems with the levels.

Hub3 has famously bad WIFI.

One of your upstream channels is out of whack and power a little high. Thats probably causing t3 timeouts.

Your SNR on your downstream channels is a little low.

AS for WIFI would would turn off 'smart wifi'

Then make sure your 5ghz band is set to 20/40/80

Other than that is looks ok really.

(Your going to need an engineer to fix that up.)

Re: Packet loss since Hub 3

Are those latency spikes because of the Puma Chipset?

Re: Packet loss since Hub 3

Apologies, forgot to mention I had already made those changes in the past, this is what it looks like;

Screenshot 2021-05-18 174244.png

Would it be the upstream and downstream that I should mention to an engineer to fix?
