Packet loss EU1 World of Tanks

Hello

I've been having packet loss issues playing EU1 of World of tanks pc.

After reading the forums I used ping plotter to identify the address causing the issues.

I've already left Apex legends because of the same issues that hunted me. Now I've changed games and found the same problems. I've had engineers out in the past who have ensured my setup is correct and working well. I'm using the Superhub 3 in modem mode with the Asus gaming router Rog rapture Gt-ac2900.  I've also removed the router, just running I modem mode, and still have the same findings.

I decided to ask in the forums for one last time before I change provider.

Hopefully, this is something virgin media can check with twelve99.net

Re: Packet loss EU1 World of Tanks

Hi @Synergy61

Thanks for posting on the community forum!

How does the connection perform outside of gaming? By looking at your BQM I can see a few small spikes but nothing major.

I've also checked the power levels to the hub which show no issues either and are all within specification.

Re: Packet loss EU1 World of Tanks

The connection is fine in other areas. I use my own router as my superhub 3 was causing packet loss between my pc and router. I tested other ethernet cables with no fix. I then asked on a forum and they said try it in modem mode and see if the packet loss between the pc and modem was fixed. This did fix that so I installed my own router and thought the issues were resolved.

But the server ldn-bb4-link.ip.twelve99.net that virgin uses to extend connections is showing this packet loss.

EU world of tanks.  If you ping login.p1.worldoftanks.eu

You  should see the packet loss

And can I ask if the Superhub 4 will be rolling out anytime soon?

Re: Packet loss EU1 World of Tanks

Thank you for that information.

At this point in time our hub 4 is only supplied for our highest tier broadband packages.

Re: Packet loss EU1 World of Tanks

Currently, the 1 GB service gets the Super Hub 4, but from what I've read on here its performance is no better than the Super Hub 3, plus it's still a Puma Chipset, so you have that issue as well.
