Packet Loss

Hey there,

I have had some issue with packet loss in the past and it seems it has returned, I had ran many tests before and it seemed to go away after a few days. I have ran tests again on the router and website etc, all say its ok but monitoring it there is packet loss issues, some often some not. Making for a poor overall experence, gaming, streaming music / video etc.

That is the live data, snowing big spikes in packet loss.

I have included all the power settings etc from my router, as far as I can see they are all in spec.

Really at a bit of a loss with this, maybe I have missed something simple? If anyone could advise it would be greatly appreciated!

The BQM is showing a packet loss (red fringing at the top) so something is amiss.

I can't read the photo you posted for the specs.  Can you copy and paste the figures as text into several posts please?

In the meantime check the connections from the Hub to the outside are all "finger tight" as loose connections can cause problems.

Also try checking with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 or if you have a VM landline 150 as small local faults are not listed on the VM status page.

I also phoned the number for clarity and it said there was no issues, will note it down as it may be handy in the future, appreciate that.

Have also tried resetting the router, have made sure everything is plugged in ok.

I did quite a bit of re-search last time this happened and never really came to any conclusion, which is quite frustrating.
