I've been having problems the last 2days unable to sign in to playstation network, I've done the internet connection tests on it I have a internet connection but PSN fails and gives me the error code np-40833-8.i have tried forwarding ports Sony suggested also I've reset the router and console numerous times with no success I've any one has any solutions I'm all ears since this is driving me up the wall
I have the same problem. I'm loathe to mess with the ports as everything was working fine until the weekend. I have however reset the PS4's networking settings and the Hub to factory defaults, updated the system software on the PS4 and done a full power clean. As I can't log on to the PS4 app via wifi either (but can on mobile data) It points to an ISP problem. I'd like to get my public facing I.P address changed. How can I do this please?
The error code is a server error so your network connection is working, your PS4 is connecting to the PSN Network.
The default SuperHub config works with PSN and does not need any changes to work. Check the Playstation Network service status. And try signing in to your account via a laptop/phone for more information as it may be an account issue.
I have this issue as well, sony said its an ip block takes 24 hours to fix, I don't see why I should mess about with ports etc, I pay enough money for services without extras, 2 ps4s in house works fine with hotspots on mobile data, but not WiFi, I couldnt log on to psn apps with WiFi only mobile data, hope this info helps others.
