Re: PSN error np-40833-8

Hi Kyle12449,

Sorry to hear of the PSN sign in problems, I presume you've tried the Playstation Fix and Connect help.

I wonder if this could be down to an IP block, dropping your Hub into modem mode may be an idea to test if this is the case.

Cheers

Re: PSN error np-40833-8

Hi,

I have the same problem.  I'm loathe to mess with the ports as everything was working fine until the weekend.  I have however reset the PS4's networking settings and the Hub to factory defaults, updated the system software on the PS4 and done a full power clean.  As I can't log on to the PS4 app via wifi either (but can on mobile data) It points to an ISP problem.  I'd like to get my public facing I.P address changed.  How can I do this please?

Re: PSN error np-40833-8

https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/error-codes/np-40833-8/

The error code is a server error so your network connection is working, your PS4 is connecting to the PSN Network.

The default SuperHub config works with PSN and does not need any changes to work. Check the Playstation Network service status. And try signing in to your account via a laptop/phone for more information as it may be an account issue.

This post was the same issue and the IP was blocked at PSN side, https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Networking-and-WiFi/Ps4-connectiviry/m-p/4079120
