PS4 gaming online nightmare

I’m running tests on dsl from the PS4 and I’m getting constant ping spikes ranging up to 1000 ms?? This would meant a total of 10 seconds delay in online competitive games! 

Every second day I’m getting red on the bqm and have to hard reset the router 

I have no more options and I’m clueless as to what to do next, I can’t get decent gameplay until no one is using the internet, even if one person is using it whilst I’m gaming it causes so many problems. 

 

The ping spikes are seriously just just a killer especially when it comes to playing Fifa, I’ve had an engineer visit over a month ago but the problems resumed 2 days later

And another one this time showing the severity of my gaming problems.. 

 

changed it up to ping 10 times to the server same happens for google

Upon further tests I have done a traceroute 

 

1 to the ea servers 

17 hops, 5 of them the request had timed out

 

i had done another one to google

9 hops, 1 request timed out

Doing the ping test from my laptop shows no packet loss, by directly from the router using any device does show packet loss as shown from the first 2 screenshots, 

 

bufferbloat and ping on the ps4 seems to skyrocket too showing ms of up to 1000+ ms

 

gaming is basically impossible

You need to omit the ping test from the HUB as it doesn't appear to work correctly:

Are you in Router Mode or Modem Mode.

 

I am in Modem Mode, and no issues with online gaming on PC and PS4Pro, both are wired connection.
